Climb aboard our unique Apple Wagon for an hour long guided tour of our 33 hectare pip and stonefruit orchard. You will experience first hand just how we manage to grow some of the finest fruit in the world directly from the two people who know best, David and Philip Mardon, the second generation owners of Pernel Fruitworld.
Visit us in September/October and you will see the trees smothered in fabulous blossom. From early December through till May you can experience the fruit harvest with the opportunity to select and pick a fruit from a tree as part of the orchard tour. But come anytime, we have fruit to try and things to see and do all year round.
Our small Animal Farm tour is a must for everyone. All our animals are very tame and just love to eat fruit straight from your hand. Enquire about our farm tour prices.
Try Fruit Tasting. You can experience the flavours of some of the fruit that has made Hawke's Bay famous for fruit growing as part of the orchard tour.
In our Visitor Centre you can spend a little time watching our video where you will see a whole range of activities which occur on the orchard throughout the year. Browse through our Gift Shop for those Momentos of your visit. Have a coffee and a light meal in our Cafe, where our Chef specialises in a fruit related menu.
If you want to purchase some fruit for yourself or maybe to send to friends or family, then a visit to our Fruit Shop is a must. Ask about our fresh fruit icecream - it is to die for.
